Will Ospreay Out Of Major RevPro Match With Kidney Infection

By Donnie Henderson

Will Ospreay is out of Sunday’s RevPro Epic Encounter event in London due to a kidney infection.

RevPro released a statement on their website this afternoon saying on Thursday Ospreay had developed what initially was thought to be food poisoning. As time went on, he became more ill and was eventually diagnosed with the kidney infection. He was scheduled to face Minoru Suzuki on tomorrow’s show.

“We appreciate that there will be disappointment surrounding this announcement, no one was looking forward to the Suzuki Vs Ospreay contest more than us & we will do everything we can to reschedule it for a later date,” they wrote.

RevPro also said in their statement that Suzuki had arrived in the United Kingdom this afternoon and will still be wrestling on the card.

Ospreay recently returned to action after testing positive for COVID-19, and as a result had to miss Wrestling Dontaku on May 1, where he was scheduled to face Hiroshi Tanahashi for the IWGP United States Championship. He later wrestled at NJPW Capital Collision on May 14, where he lost a four-way for the title in a match that also involved winner Juice Robinson, Tanahashi, and Jon Moxley.
