WRESTLE-1 eight-man tag team match - 2014.1.11 The opening match for Hold Out sees the future generation of Japanese wrestling given the spotlight as two rivals groups of young wrestlers collide. All starting months ago with TAJIRI's departure from the Wrestling New Classic promotion, which led to an exodus not to dissimilar from Keiji Mutoh's own exit from AJPW, leading to the formation of WRESTLE-1. With TAJIRI followed 5 other wrestlers loyal to him, who all transferred to the WRESTLE-1 roster. A fellow veteran AKIRA and 4 young wrestlers; including TAJIRI's protégé Yusuke Kodama, Jiro "Ikemen" Kuroshio, Koji Doi & Rionne Fujiwara. The 4 young wrestlers immediately united as a faction called Novus, then the tension between them and the already established WRESTLE-1 youth rose rapidly with each side trying to maintain a pecking order in this new era of the future of WRESTLE-1.
