With a shot at NWA World champion Ric Flair on the line, the King attempts to dethrone AWA World champion Nick Bockwinkel for the AWA Southern title, which Nick won following his loss of the World strap to Otto Wanz (a man whose name just rolls off the lips of the late, great Lance Russell). Highlight include Lawler pulling out a rare Boston Crab (not a literal crab, though in Memphis, you never know), much to the delight of Russell, and the brilliant portrayal of Nick as a tough World champion instead of how lame Flair was often booked.
