IMPACT WRESTLING NEWS AND NOTES.

After returning to Impact Wrestling TV last night and winning the Impact championship, Austin Aries took to Twitter to declare the belt was now the "Impact World championship" dropping the World Heavyweight distinction.

Aries will be doing a media call next Thursday to promote that evening's episode of Impact Wrestling.

Ed Nordholm, Scott D'Amore and Don Callis have been doing media in Great Britain this week.  D'Amore told RealSports101.com they were meeting with promoters and production companies in regard to bringing the company there as well as meeting with UK-based talents.    Don Callis stated that the departure of Jeremy Borash won't change their long term plans in terms of announcing.   They were pushing that last night's episode was just the start of changes and that for all the talents leaving, it creates opportunities for new talents to come in, but it will take time for those new characters to become as beloved as those who have left, which is the truth.

Scott D'Amore discussed what the company needs to accomplish in the months to come with the UK Mirror, noting, "We need to gain the trust of wrestling fans all over the world, of wrestlers, of other promotions. There has been so much going on with us, we need to have our own house in order, consistently put on a good product, consistently treat our performers with respect and as the partners they are, and consistently be friendly and co-operative with other promotions. As we do that, the course will be chartered. We're not saying 'we're taking over January 1 and in three months we will be rocking and rolling'. We're putting together a six-month, 12-month, 18-month and 36-month plan. When you're building a sports team, you don't come out of the gate on day one with the team you'll have a season or two later. We are going to evaluate and make changes, but try to put out a consistent, compelling and entertaining product. We will make some mistakes along the way and when we do, we will evaluate and adjust to them."

Mario Bokara, Ava Storie and Idris Abraham are all done here.  Bokaro had been out of action following ACL surgery and the others were victims of the regime change.

The Global Wrestling Network is now available via X-Box.

The vignettes for "The Machine" are for Lucha Underground star Brian Cage.

Kirk White's Big Time Wrestling in California will be promoting two events themed for Impact Wrestling on 3/23 in Newark, CA and 3/24 in Salinas, CA with Alberto el Patron, Moose, LAX, Eli Drake, Eddie Edwards, Trevor Lee, Taya, Rosemary and Brian Cage announced.  Visit www.BTWrestling.com for details.
